Interesting book not exactly what I was looking for

We got this book for school next year. I am reading it before teaching it and though it is interesting it is not what I thought. It uses lots of laws of science to refute evolution and a challenge that the universe was created by God with a purpose. It is confusing trying to figure out where the authors stand regarding the big bang as they use this language to describe God creating the universe. There is a lot of difference between this book and most books creation science information so far. (I am in chapter 7) I am hoping with the study guide we will really be able to work through each theory that is disproved. It seems like they run together and use some of the same information for many illustrations. One of the biggest challenges has been that the authors are very bias against a reformed christian viewpoint which can be hard to read for someone who holds to the reformed doctrines.
Great in the beginning, but not sound at the end with theological assertions.

I read this book and it helped me understand about the faith it takes to be an unbeliever. It helped me prepare myself for conversations with unbelievers/atheists or those struggling with doubt. I was once an unbeliever myself. Although some of the theological material, near the end is not sound, the material for most of the book is valuable and inspiring.
I read this book at least 8 years ago, and it really helped me to understand science discoveries now in the light of the Christian faith. Before I would struggle with how to understand them together, and how can we know other religions don't have the final answer. This book is so logically written, with fantastic supporting detail, it helped me to draw my own conclusions. I have suggested this book to others who struggled with their faith, since they were such science minded people. I watched their faith just soar and they had complete peace in knowing who God is and his place in the creation story and in their lives. Since then I started to do more research via my local Reasons to Believe chapter, and a whole hosts of other books. However, in my opinion, this is the best book I've read on the subject, and still my favorite. I recently purchased 2 copies as presents to friends.
I'm only into the the 7th chapter but i'm very impressed with this book. So far it doesn't really mention anything about the Bible or its scriptures, Its just from a scientific standpoint. When i first got this book in the mail and flipped through the pages i was a little worried about how difficult it would be to read and understand, but actually the way its laid out is really simple. When I read a book i usually like the chapters to be short, but the chapters are pretty long in this book, despite that- when i start a chapter its really hard for me to put down. The arguments in this book are great and a big eye opener, It will definitely help build your faith or help any skeptic come closer to the truth.
