When a baby dolphin loses her tail in a crab trap, she's rescued by a young boy named Sawyer. He's convinced that the little mammal can survive if somebody will make her a new "wagger." Only a crazy person would take on such a task! Fortunately, he finds one at Florida's Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Starring Harry Connick Jr, Ashley Judd, Kris Kristofferson, and Morgan Freeman. Widescreen. Dove approved. Rated PG. Approx. 113 minutes.

Jessica Mae4 Stars Out Of 5Good movie but questionable part..January 3, 2014Jessica MaeQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4This movie is really good and has a really good message. I do, however, have one complaint and that makes me a little uneasy. It is that the little girl prays to her mother who passed away instead of God, she prayed to her mother asking for a miracle. I wish the directors could have just left that part out or changed it to her praying to God. But other than that it was really inspiring and reminds me of Soul Surfer which is one of my favorite movies!

momof4Fairfield, PAAge: 35-44Gender: female1 Stars Out Of 5Not okay if you allow the "D" word in your homeJanuary 14, 2013momof4Fairfield, PAAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1I bought this movie for my kids for Christmas. I am extremely careful to check the ratings of all movies in our home because we do not allow any movie with bad language - not even one word. Although the movie itself was great and my kids loved it, I was floored when one of the songs playing in a scene used the "D" word. It was totally unnecessary and even out of place. "...Open up your heart and 'D' your free..." I rechecked the rating because I couldn't believe it hadn't been flagged for language. In the ratings box, movies give codes D-drama, ML-mild language, L-language, V-violence, etc. It only listed "mild thematic elements" given for the dolphin in peril and the wounded soldier dealing with physical and emotional wounds. I even looked up the lyrics to be sure I hadn't misunderstood. It's a very catchy tune and would no doubt be repeated by one of my children if we looked the other way. It's very sad - the rating should have been clear about all language used in the film - not just words spoken by the actors.
