Building on his opening treatment of the Doctrine of the Word of God, Barth begins the second half of this foundational doctrine with christology, providing detailed exposition of the incarnation of the Word. He then turns to pneumatology, describing the importance of the Holy Spirit in the event of revelation. Also included is Barth's doctrine of Scripture, which in his language, becomes a witness to divine revelation only through the work of the Holy Spirit. Closing the volume stands Barth's doctrine of preaching, which also serves as a witness to God's revelation when it creates obedience to the Word of God.
