This is a wonderful study for everyone because we all have those valleys we journey through. I've purchased the whole study for myself and also a friend who's husband has been given 6 months to a year to live. We can trust that God loves us and will be with us through the toughest days.

i was so inspired by Laura's personal, professional and spiritual journey through the overwhelming trials that she and Martin faced together as a young couple. Their faith in God's goodness and total dependence on Him are a beautiful example for all Believers. I love how she methodically tears down common myths and replaces them with Truths from God's Word as we follow her story chapter by chapter.

    it was amazing

There are so many things that I could relate to in this book especially regarding loss. I loved how utterly transparent Laura is regarding her's and Martins story.

My favorite quote is this "To be better in our brokenness isn't to remove the brokenness; it's to remove the selfishness, pride, impatience, or other sinful behaviors we blame on the brokenness. When we stop blaming our situation on the brokenness, we begin to see that the brokenness is a trial designed specifically for us."

I am not sure exactly what I expected to learn from When God Doesn't Fix It when I first decided to read it, but obviously the Holy Spirit was already working in my heart. I have spent the last 2 years questioning God's love for me, and even sometimes in isolation because I couldn't bear to go through pain again.

This book has helped me realize that I need to share my story with other people because someone else just might need to hear my words to help them in their brokenness, and in turn I could be a Blessing to them.

As women's ministry director at our large rural church, I see lots of broken and hurt women and most times we don't have the answers to some of the hardest of questions - like why would God not fix this? I began to read this book to help others, and then I saw clearly the truths of the gospel that come through trails and hurts. Yes, unexplainable, but for our love and devotion to Jesus. We won't know all the answers to these painful questions here in this life, and when we get to eternity, we won't even care. This book helps you deal with and understand those unexplainable hurts, this side of eternity. I loved the book!
