Divas Destined for Greatness offers an interactive program for teenage girls of all socio-economic backgrounds. Each session is designed to address real life issues. In a non threatening environment, participants can share those personal experiences and feelings which impact their daily life choices. The author, often comments that "the health and wealth of a country can be measured by the behaviors and statistics of its women." She therefore poses this question. How healthy is our United States of America, one of the most progressive nations in the world? The dismal answer and statistics regarding the social, emotional and physical health of teenage girls and young women in our country prompted the contents of Divas Destined for Greatness . The program is designed to create an intergenerational relationship between teenage girls, young adult and older women. Regular interaction and bonding will encourage teenagers to uncover their personal relationship with God and discover how it relates to their self image, attitude, knowledge, problem solving and conflict resolution skills. The Parent Orientation, Self Assessments and Community Involvement components help each Diva to identify that internal energy she must have to recognize the need and desire to initiate positive change.
