Dawn5 Stars Out Of 5"Gift-worthy" and RelevantAugust 23, 2017DawnQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I bought a book for myself and liked it so much, I also bought one as a gift for my sister. (Hint: It's super "gift-worthy!") Beautifully written and illustrated, this book rides the crest of the "coloring craze," with plenty of opportunities to be creative. But more importantly, "Discovering Hope in the Psalms" is an opportunity to color one's life with biblical truth. The authors worked hard to make this a relevant and biblical resource for the church--and it's good for personal and group studies. But please don't let that stop you from buying it for people outside the church. A friend who is not a believer was super-interested! Who doesn't need hope and help in the culture today?
Kathy Collard Miller5 Stars Out Of 5Innovative & inspirational study of biblical PsalmsAugust 10, 2017Kathy Collard MillerQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is an inspiring, uniquely creative, encouraging book. It is write-in Bible study that helps us dig deeply into Psalms 1, 2, 51, 23, 73, 42/43, 71, and 30 & 146. The questions are thought-provoking but not overwhelming. There are inspirational thoughts and explanations that make the Psalms come alive. And then the icing on the whole thing is the opportunity to color or pencil in beautiful artwork on coloring pages. What an innovative concept and the authors and illustrator have carried it out beautifully.

It was spectacular! I now have a much richer understanding of the Psalms and the distinctions between the different types of Psalms. Better yet, I was able to immerse myself into the Psalms through the creative exercises given. These artistic expressions deepened my experience. Best of all, the study leads you on a journey to pour your heart into writing your own Psalms. This is something I would never have seen myself doing without the easy way you are guided through the lesson. One of my all-time favorite Bible studies!
