This easy-to-use study for small groups and individuals reveals the Bible’s book of joy. The apostle Paul’s words in the book of Philippians share the secret of joy—a life centered in Jesus Christ.
Open-ended discussion questions, Bible passages, and helpful explanations and applications point readers to the godly characteristic of joy, which is sharing in God’s life—a quality that transcends happiness based on circumstances.
About This Series: Stonecroft Bible Studies encourage people to know God and grow in His love through exploration of His life-transforming Word, the Bible. Each book is designed for both seekers and new believers and includes easy-to-understand explanations and applications of Bible passages and study questions.

Some of the lessons are too long to cover in the hour and a half we have allowed. Have had some great discussions.
Judy5 Stars Out Of 5Discovering the Joy of Jesus: A Guide to PhilippiansMarch 2, 2015JudyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Our neighborhood Bible Study is using this Study Guide. We are certainly enjoying it. However, we have found the Lessons are extremely long. But having used Stonecroft Studies for many years, the new revisions are wonderful but lessons too long to cover as one. When considering studies, we do look at the number of lessons so we can plan. I have found that we now have to plan for at the very least, each lesson will take two or more sessions to cover the material. Philippians has much to teach us and we do not want to hurry through it.

The lessons are very informative. They connect the Old Testament to new.
