Abigail5 Stars Out Of 5May 17, 2010AbigailThis book, besides the bible, has been one of the greatest help throughout my walk with God. The first time I read it, I didn't really understand it. However, I recently read it again and the words just jumped off the page! I totally understood the first three chapters(which had been a meaningless waste of paper at first) I realized that she's trying to show you what discipline is and how it works. Also, I love how much scipture she puts in this book, it is just filled with it! Again, beside the bible, this book has helped me grow in my walk with God! Read it, you won't regret it!
Sylvia3 Stars Out Of 5March 13, 2008SylviaI bought the book because I knew discipline was sadly lacking in my life and was the single biggest spiritual hindrance. I had grown to respect Elliot's work and felt she would not mess around with me. I was surprised to find in this book that she really seems to have a dual objective: 1) to deal with the subject matter of discipline which she does effectively and 2) to defend the Catholic church.
