Bonhoeffer's writing style is very straight forward and "matter of fact" in approach and comes out of the gate swinging in the very first chapter. Do yourself a favor and buy this book!
Russell E. Smith5 Stars Out Of 5December 8, 2002Russell E. SmithBy contrasts the author helps the reader examine themselves, for the sake of Christian living, no matter where the reader lives or their circumstances. The author lives in my memory still, because he left behind lasting impressions that still challenge me today. How? By providing me with a very deep understand that discipleship is the disciplined life and he expounds upon his concerpt called Logo Therapy, which came out his personal experiences of co-prisoners of war who committed suicide as prisoners of war together; while the author was able to use his faith to outwit such a fate, by focusing upon what he hoped would be his new future reunion someday with his family etc. Please, whoever you are reading this, look past the dollar cost of this offer and fill yourself too with all the ideas Mr. Bonhoffer will give you by which to live your life to the fullest and instill a larger degree of hope into others you meet along life's highway. You will come away from your reading of this book as I did, knowing what it is and wanting to forever be a disciple of our Lord Jesus.
