I was given this book before going on a retreat where our leader was Jim Putman. I then purchased some to use in a study for pastors in our area. Jim points out that we are quick to defend wholeheartedly the teachings of Jesus, but also quick to disregard His methods. Jesus taught discipleship by modeling it for a few men. He not only taught them how to be disciples, but He also taught them how to make disciples. If we would put the biblical principles found in this book into practice, it would radically change the way we do church and do life together.

No grand theological treaties; just practical (from a coaches perspective), biblically grounded while replicating the teachings of Jesus, the master disciple maker, in the 21st century.
