Disciple’s Diary is the second book in Cindee’s series written for women journeying to become all that God has created them to be. This edition is a collection of poems, devotional teachings, and reflective narrative, intended to encourage and to provoke thought in those “disciple daughters” who may discover that they are now traveling across terrain much like the territories that the heroine in the story crosses. Her Valley of Shadows may be found sitting at the bedside of a terminally ill loved one. Her Wide Wilderness of Want may appear in the form of a bankruptcy or through the loss of a business or a home. Divorce-court proceedings may compose the walls of the dark pit of loneliness, in which the disciple daughter now sits trapped as she watches the fogs of confusion and doubt begin to roll in overhead. A rebellious child, an unfaithful spouse, and seemingly countless unanswered prayers may all contribute to the tangled briers and twisted branches of the wilderness thicket that blocks the sun’s warmth and light from the path on which the present-day sojourner now travels. Such is the terrain that might be traced on the map of a modern-day disciple daughter.

Tell us a little about yourself. After thirteen successful and award winning years as a university faculty member, I have been called by the Lord to take my knowledge and my skillset out of the secular classroom and into the heart of God's people. It is my heart's desire to help God's women discover who they are in Christ Jesus and to then develop and maintain healthy intimate relationships with others. After all, we can't love others until we first love ourselves. I long to work alongside pastors, lay-leaders, community organizations and churches to replace the half-truths and misconceptions about what it means to be a woman that are being taught within our popular culture today. It is sad to me that most women cannot declare with full assurance that they are fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14). Our enemy has whispered in their ears and hand-fed women the foundations for their destructive self-talk. He put his plan in motion the day that he whispered to the first woman, Eve. The end result is women acting in desperation and despair, settling for secondary status, and having no knowledge of how fabulous they are created to be. That, my fearfully, fabulous, wonderful women of God has got to change! The time has come for all of God's womanly creation to know who they are and to claim their true identity. I want to help my sisters in that journey.
