Tell us a little about yourself.  As an educational consultant, I conduct academic and developmental assessments of children to determine their learning deficits and assets. I hold a M.S. in education and a B.S. degree in special education.

What was your motivation behind this project?  Our motivation was born out of the desire to see more Christian schools offering quality programs within their settings for struggling LD and ADHD students.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  We hope that administrators in Christian schools will take up the cause for our special needs students. We hope that they will place our manual into the hands of competent teachers, who can follow the step-by-step procedures for conducting successful LD programs.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  By doing the necessary research for the book, we were profoundly impressed with the great need of Christian schools to offer more than they presently do for LD and ADHD students. We found, for instance, that currently only 5 to 10 percent our Christian schools support either a full-time or part-time LD program.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  I especially like the work of Rick Lavoie (Video, How Difficult Can This Be?, The Fat City Workshop)My greatest inspiration is from the scripture Psalm 139: 14, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made."

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  If you are a parent of an LD or ADHD child, a teacher, or a school administrator, be encouraged that help is available and be determined to access that help, so that all children can learn successfully in school.
