Every person is affected daily by countless relationships of one kind or another. Some are enjoyable and encouraging, while others drag us down and hurt us. What can we do to make the best of the difficult relationships and resolve the problems that arise in them?
In How to Deal with Difficult Relationships, June Hunt looks at the characteristics and causes of problem relationships as well as the solutions that can bring hope, peace, and restoration. With wisdom and compassion she explores what Scripture says about the following key issues:
- conflict resolution
- a critical spirit
This newest addition to June Hunt’s popular Counseling Through the Bible Series maintains the exceptionally high standard of biblical and practical excellence that June is known for. Readers will find themselves powerfully encouraged as they seek the path toward harmony, better communication, and Christ-centered solutions in their problem relationships.
June Hunt is the founder of Hope for the Heart, a worldwide biblical counseling ministry that provides numerous resources for people seeking help. She hosts a live, two-hour call-in counseling program called Hope in the Night, and is the author of Counseling Through Your Bible Handbook and How to Handle Your Emotions.
IreneUnited States4 Stars Out Of 5Helpful information on relationshipsDecember 1, 2012IreneUnited StatesQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4The subtitle to the book is Bridging the Gaps That Separate People. I think everyone can learn some great tips on how to deal with those people in our lives that are difficult.
This book is not just an advice book but more of a guide book for those helping others deal with difficult people. That said anyone can read this book, just realize some of the pages are a bit detailed. The great advice on how to handle those you don't get along with in your day to day life is there.
I gave this book 4/5 stars. I thought the advice was helpful and plentiful. I gave this book the lower rating because I thought some of the book was just too detailed. I think this book could have been made a little more simple to understand and therefore more helpful to everyone. If you are dealing with a difficult person every day pick this book up and you will get some great advice on how to handle the situations you are put in.
I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.
