The Rev. Dr. James W. "Jim" Moore is a bestselling author of more than 40 books and an acclaimed pastor and ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. A graduate of Lambuth College, Methodist Theological School, and Centenary College, Dr. Moore has served as the Associate Director of the Memphis Conference Council on Ministries and has led congregations in Jackson, TN, Shreveport, LA, and—most recently—Houston, TX. In 2006, after 50 years of active ministry, he retired from full-time ministry in the Texas Conference of the UMC and moved to the Dallas area, where he currently serves Minister in Residence at Highland Park United Methodist Church. He and his wife, June, live at Heritage Ranch in Fairview, Texas.
