Hes a comedian. Hes a YouTube sensation. And now he becomes an author. Best known for his song parodies and riffs on yoga pants and homeschooling, Tim Hawkins now shares his perspective on life in the 21st century in his long-awaited debut book. Tim's topics are as wide-ranging as his stand-up comedy including marital communications ("Marriage needs a challenge flag, like in pro football"), worship music ("Pick the right key, because Im not Barry White and Im not a Bee Gee"), and food ("Eating a Krispy Kreme donut is like eating a baby angel"). Diary of a Jackwagon reveals a witty and relatable voice reminding readers that for lifes many difficulties, laughter is always the best medicine when there arent any pills left.
Tim Hawkins has forged a no-bones, no-bull comedy experience that entertains the entire family. Described as one part gifted and two parts twisted, Tim combines hilarious stand-up plus musical mastery to highlight the brokenness of human nature while marveling in its absurdity. He performs live for 200,000 fans at 120+ sold-out shows in 30+ states every year. His Jackwagon Crew continues to grow into a gut-busting revolution of multi-generational proportions with 300 million views on YouTube and a motley half million Facebook fans. Tim and his wife Heather live in Missouri with their four crud muffins.
John Driver is a husband, father, pastor, author, and songwriter. He lives with his wife, Laura, and their young daughter, Sadie.

It will tide you over till the next concert.October 2, 2015Debbie MWisconsinAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Reading Tim Hawkins' book is almost as good as being at one of his concerts! Almost! You still miss his funny faces, and jumping around, and mopping his brow. :) But, he writes the book (he keeps saying we are peeking into his diary), just as he talks. Some of this is old material that he has done in the concerts, and some of it is new material. But, it was good, and fun to read. He ends each chapter with a short quip, a "Tweet Thought", and those are just as funny as each chapter.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book, and it was a nice fix for me, seeing as how I missed this year's concert. Our family enjoys Tim Hawkins!!
I received this e-book free from the publisher for my honest review.
tammycookblogsbooks4 Stars Out Of 5Diary of a JackwagonSeptember 1, 2015tammycookblogsbooksQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Tim Hawkins is a Christian comedian. His brand of comedy is family friendly, but can be edgy at times. Hawkins has released seven DVDs. Learn more at timhawkins.net. 'Diary of a Jackwagon' is Hawkins' first book.
I have seen two of Hawkins' DVDs and laughed my head off at his insanity. There have been several of his clips on youtube that I also enjoyed watching. Diary of a Jackwagon is look into Hawkins' comedic journal that he has been writing over the last twenty years. I read several bits in the book that I already knew from watching the DVDs and youtube.
While I liked the book, I prefer watching Tim Hawkins' comedy rather than reading it. Reading doesn't show his expressions and movements that make his act even more enjoyable. Bottom line - Tim Hawkins is funny and clean. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a laugh, or two, or more...I received a free copy of 'Diary of a Jackwagon' from BookLook in exchange for my honest review.

If a single word could describe this book by Comedian Tim Hawkins, that would be it. In Diary of a Jackwagon, Tim Hawkins takes you on a roller coaster of such hilarity that there is no way you will be able to put the book down and then go about your everyday life without stopping to laugh at something you read in his book earlier that day. So much fun, wrapped up in only two hundred pages!
Ive known of Tim Hawkins for several years now and I watch every video that I can find of him! Hawkins has truly perfected the art of comedy, and I knew as soon as I saw his book that I would have to read it. In Diary Of A Jackwagon, there are many chapters that contain jokes which Ive already heard Tim tell on his many Youtube videos. However, there are also many others which Id never heard from him before, and Im telling you, this book is worth your time and money, even if youve already seen most of his videos! I laughed all the way through the book. From his genius perspective on life, marriage, and family, to his short, comical tweets at the end of each chapter, you can bet your sweet bippy that you will constantly come back to his book for more (inside joke: please read said book to get the punchline)!
I readily give Diary Of a Jackwagon four stars! There are a few instances of potty humor (which I consider uneccessary and a bit awkward, if you know what I mean), as well as an instance where he says For Christs sake literally! (still what ought to be considered blasphemy) etc. which cause me not to offer five stars, but I still would definitely recommend this book to all of my friends seeking a good laugh.
If you want some good, clean comedy to read, Diary of A Jackwagon is the book for you! Purchase your copy today!

I have always been a fan of Tim Hawkins. I have seen his shows and heard his comedy and this book was just a perfect example of how funny he is. While reading this book I have continuously laughed out loud. So much so that my kids have asked me to stop reading!
The book contained a lot of my favorite of his stand up bits as well as some I hadn't heard before. Tim definitely has a talent for writing. Each page is filled with funny anecdotes and stories. This book is perfect for the comedy fan in your life. The Tweet Thoughts at the end of each chapter also made me laugh out loud. This book is a great read if you need something light and fun-loving and easy to read. This book is clean funny you don't have to worry about if your kids were to pick it up and read it. I think I could read this book 100 times and it would still be funny. Christian Cuss Words in one of my all time favorite of his. Also his Official Worship Signals Handbook.
This is definitely a book worth purchasing for yourself or as a gift. After you read it, go see a show you won't be disappointed.
