I find this material to be very informative and helpful to both older and younger Christians. This book has been integral to my Christian growth over the years. I led a study years ago with several men using this series of study material which I feel is pivotal to the Christian life. I applaud Nav Press for producing an excellent product. I was discipled using Studies in Christian Living and later we used this series. It is a joy and the present study group that I am facilitating is enjoying it. We start book three this week.

This is part of the Navigator's Design for Discipleship series. I use it with Christians who are interested in growing in their relationship with God because it gives knowledge directly through reading scripture, makes scripture memory a normal part of the Christian life, and applies it to our life so that action (life change, character building) follows the learning. I highly recommend it, as well as the rest of the booklets in the series.

The questions cover a lot of territory and there is no way that all of them can be adequately covered within a reasonable time, say 1 1/2 hours, for group study. I did not find the study guide to be helpful in identifying the essential material to cover. I would like to see the questions more focused on 2 or 3 vital points within the sub-headings of each chapter. The many charts within the questions did provide opportunities to explore techniques to study Scripture, but adequately discussing each one within a time constraint is really not possible.
