Come to the garden alone, and fill your soul with His presence.
Theres nothing on earth like the peace and loveliness of a magnificent garden. Its the place where Adam and Eve first fellowshipped with God, and where you, too, can escape from this chaotic world into His loving arms of beauty and serenity.Devotions from the Garden takes you to that place where senses are restored as dewdrops settle and butterflies gather to witness the miracles of Gods creation bloom and grow. These ninety devotions explore the parallels of life with the elements of the garden to help you see God, to sense His presence, to soothe your soul, and to rest in knowing He is with you throughout each day. Included are striking photographs with a fresh, contemporary design for timeless appeal.

Saw this title and had to have it as well. It is just as pleasant and insightful as the first one. Devotions based on gardening ideas with scripture to match. Inspirational and delightful as the first. Keep them coming.
Debbie from ChristFocusHarrison, ARAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Helps point your thoughts and praise toward GodJune 14, 2015Debbie from ChristFocusHarrison, ARAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5"Devotions from the Garden" is a book of 90 devotionals that show the parallels between gardening and how God works in our lives. The book is full of colorful photographs of gardens and garden plants. Each devotional started with a verse and ended with a suggested prayer. The devotional talked about the trials and joys of gardening or about gardening hints and then tied that in to help us better understand the verse. The author has a solid theology so I appreciated the truths she brought out through her gardening parallels.
While non-gardeners can probably get something out of this devotional, it's really talking to those who understand the work and enjoyment found in gardening. Reading each devotional doesn't take long, but it leaves you with something to think about for the day or while you garden which will point your thoughts and praise toward God. I call that a good devotional.
I received this book as a review copy from the publisher through BookLook Bloggers.
Enchanting RoseColoradoAge: 25-34Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5A beautiful and inspiring devotionalMay 4, 2015Enchanting RoseColoradoAge: 25-34Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Devotions from the Garden is not only a beautiful book in appearance, but the words tucked inside the pages encourage the heart and refresh the soul. You will find topics such as:
Perennials - God is at work even in seasons of your heart that seem dormant.
The Spark of Life - Let the unknown and the mysterious compel you to trust God that this is an opportunity - in His perfect time - for you to grow.
Herb Gardens - Whenever we offer what we have, no matter how small, we are giving for more that that concrete thing. We are giving a taste of God's love, a gift more valuable than gold.
Thanks For The Harvest - Then, when your heart is so full it could burst, your mind is happily resting in His precious Spirit, and your body is relaxed from his touch, only two words are worthy to break the silence: Thank You.
This lovely devotional book will bless all those that read it. Each devotion is short and to the point, but the words are powerful and will leave you thinking upon the Lord and His precious mercies for quite some time. The love for our Heavenly Father and the joy for gardening have been so uniquely intertwined that they make for a very compelling, inspiring, and beautiful book. My dear friends, this is a devotional that you won't want to miss.

Carrie ShindorfCosby, MissouriAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5I love this Devotional!March 30, 2015Carrie ShindorfCosby, MissouriAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5When this book arrived in the mail I was so excited. This picture just does not do it justice. It is a beautiful hard back book with glossy pages of artwork. Each time I pick it up to read I find myself singing, I Come To The Garden Alone. I find nothing better than meeting my Saviour in the garden and this is just the devotional to take with you.
This devotional is not only beautiful but it is filled with 90 devotions. Each devotion is related to a gardening theme. I don't know about you but being in my garden I feel so very close to my Creator. Each devotion is well written by Merian Drennan.
The first devotion is ~ God's Transforming Grace. In this devotion the author shares Philippians 3:20-21. She reminds her readers that Perennial bulbs are not very beautiful and have humble beginnings but when we place them in the ground in the fall and cover them with dirt they endure the winter to survive and produce beautiful flowers at the first hint of Spring. She explains that sometimes we may feel like a lifeless bulb but God can and will clothe us in a radiant blossom in due time. Each devotion has a garden theme that teaches us a valuable lesson.
I can not tell you enough how much I love this book. Many times after I read and review a book I pass it along to family or friends but this book will stay in my collection for years to come. It would be the perfect gift for someone who loves to garden or just loves to come to the garden alone to meet with the Lord.
I rate this book 5 plus stars. I absolutely love this devotional . Friends~You don't want to miss this one!
