Only our soul friends can show us the evil within us.
Most of us have acquaintances who teach us doctrine or dispense advice. But have we formed honest, open friendships that are grounded in prayer and concern for all of life? While the terms spiritual director and soul friend may sound new to some, they have their roots in Scripture and the history of Christian spirituality.
