Delia Latham knows how to make me laugh. Destiny's Dream was a real delight to read.
What should have been a somber moment turns into several hilarious escapades. Destiny is with the family saying their last goodbyes to their mother.
Clay is running late and obviously lost. He pops into a seat next to Destiny at the funeral chapel. He tries to apologize for being late. Making several remarks about the deceased before he finally figures out he's in the wrong place.
This is the strange beginning to a very delightful and unique relationship; I laughed through this entire story as I cheered Clay and Destiny on.
Destiny's Dream is another sweet offering by Delia Latham. The story starts out with a humorous incident at the funeral of Destiny's mother. Throw in an angel or two, a heroine with a mission from God, a hero who doesn't believe and a villain to make your skin crawl and you have a thoroughly enjoyable read. Not to mention a dash of suspense along the way! Suspense is difficult to write. Humor is even more difficult. Combining the two takes a very capable writer. Destiny's Dream is the first in the Solomon Gate's Series and I'm already looking forward to the rest.
