Tell us a little about yourself. God Delights in the Prayers of His Children is a unique guide that takes passages of Scripture and turns them into prayer. It has been prepared to assist those who are seeking God in prayer and offers creative ideas for prayer. It teaches the reader how to pray and includes an extensive collection of model prayers that incorporate Scripture. God Delights in the Prayers of His Children is a well-written biblical guide to prayer founded on an understanding of Gods promises in Scripture.
What was your motivation behind this project? I wrote these inspirational prayers to motivate the reader to make prayer a daily part of their life, and to encourage them to develop an intimate relationship with God by praying His Word back to Him. The goal of God Delights in the Prayers of His Children is not just to emphasis the importance of prayer but also to strengthen the readers prayer life.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? As the reader is praying these prayers with Gods promises woven into them, their own understanding of the Word will deepen and their knowledge of who God is grows. The reader will recognize that praying with Scriptures will accomplish as much in their own life as it will in the life of the people they are praying for.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I started writing down my prayers as I began searching the Scriptures to see what the Bible said about the struggles and challenges I was experiencing. I discovered that praying with Scriptures for understanding, wisdom, and intimacy with God developed my faith, character, and spiritual growth.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My Church Free Chapel has significantly influenced me and has shaped my life and ministry. I have received many wonderful blessings under the anointing of my Pastor Jentezen Franklin and Dr. Mark Rutland. I would not be who I am today had it not been for the teaching I have heard from these two amazing man. I am so grateful that they are speaking Gods truths. My heartand my lifeare changed forever.
