Author/Artist Review

Author: L.H. Tuffy
Submitted: September 06, 2021

Tell us a little about yourself.  L.H. Tuffy endured chemotherapy, surgeries, and a long breast cancer battle which ravaged this author's comfortable reality. In its wake remained love, family, and the challenge of her surgeon to put her story to paper and inspire others.

What was your motivation behind this project?  During Tuffy's cancer journey, she defined cancer. And then she asked my friends and family, "Am I wrong? How would you define cancer?' They answered back with their own definitions. Within the pages of this book are their definitions of cancer and artistic interpretation of these definitions.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?   Tuffy, now 8 years cancer free, hopes - - this book honors those who traveled with her in her cancer journey, - those who are alone will know they are not alone, - some will have the courage to define cancer with their own words, and - others will find that cancer is more than a sterile definition.
