How do you live out Gods redemptive story in everyday life? It can seem hard to do how to first connect the pieces and stories of the Bible with your life and then to apply them and live them out through your actions, words, and thoughts. Yet your life is connected to every other story in history and the God who loves you. The Story: Going Deeper reveals this connection through insights into the Bibles stories about God and his people. Pick up this NIV Bible today, and discover how the sweeping saga of Gods redemptive story transforms your story.

disapointed1 Stars Out Of 5Can't recommend thisAugust 7, 2013disapointedQuality: 4Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1Leading a church through THE STORY is an exciting process. As part of the package of books I purchased this thinking I was really "going deeper." Expecting perhaps at least a light weight exegetical commentary, or historical background for the portions of the Bible covered by THE STORY. What you get is 20 some pages of preface which contains some very general Bible background material. and a full NIV bible.
Even worse, anyone who has ever really studied the Bible will get a good chuckle out of the fact that they literally and seriously attribute the authorship of the Pentateuch to Moses. (really?) From there on it is impossible to take anything included in the book introductions seriously.
I can't recommend this book at all. There are better versions of the NIV available. I will be returning my copy.
