Publisher's Description

Your fool-proof guide to paying off debt, planning for the future, and breaking free of our debt-loving culture.

The consumer credit industry wants us to believe that debt is necessary to bridge the gap between our pitiful incomes and the lifestyles we desire. But the problem is not that we don't have enough money. It's that we don't know how to manage the money we already have. And until we learn that, more money will never be enough.

In this life-changing book, Mary Hunt shows you how to live a rich, fulfilling life without any consumer debt. By applying her simple principles and specific methods, you will learn how to effectively manage and maximize the money you have. No more guessing, wondering, or worrying. Just peace and a more abundant life. What have you got to lose?

This book has been a great guide so far on my long journey to becoming debt free. What I like most about it is Hunt knows what it's like to be weighed down by debt and is living proof that one can change the way she views and spends money to become a better steward of all her resources. The most eye-opening advice so far has been creating a freedom account for irregular expenses.

I like this book because it is easy to read and understand. I read through several pages in one sitting. I am implementing some of the strategies suggested and believe the results will put me on a clear path to being debt free.

This book has been the best advice I've ever read on finances. Hunt's chapter on starting a Freedom Account fortified our financial stability. By making a Freedom Account you are prepared for those unexpected bills that can knock you back for years if you are not prepared. The chapter on a Freedom Account shows you how to set it up and what it is. She has nuggets of gold all the way through the book but this chapter, in my opinion, is one of the greatest tips I've ever read in staying out of debt and having real peace of mind. You will not have to panic if the car needs a serious repair job or your washing machine dies on you.
