The tight plot, interesting characters and unique settings kept me glued to the pages.
It's the kind of book you hurry home from work to read, it's a very exciting story!
I received the book from the publisher but was under no obligation to post nor write a review. -
tickmenotKansas CityGender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Danger Everywhere!August 19, 2022tickmenotKansas CityGender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Dead Sea Conspiracy: A Novel, #2.This contains two stories, the first is a modern-day tale about an American archaeologist, Nicole Berman, who wants to run a dig in Islamic Saudi Arabia.
In order to do the dig, Nicole must go through all kinds of hoops and red tape. Even though she passes everything, when she gets to the site, she has to deal with guards, along with governments watchers who can stop by at any time to check up on them.
Nicole wants to prove that Abraham was a real person, describe his relationship with his sons, and that Isaac was the one God's blessings were to go through, not Ishmael. There are spies and people trying to prevent her from reaching her goal. If she does find evidence, will the host country let her publish her news, even if it goes against their national religion? Or will something happen to Nicole to prevent her getting out alive?
The second narrative is the thrilling story of Old Testament Abram (later Abraham) that starts with his parents in ancient Ur, and continues throughout his life. His father, Terah, is crazed King Nimrod's right-hand man. This story covers the building of the Tower of Babel, along with a visit with Noah's son and his wife--which includes their first-hand account of what living on the ark was like.
The things God asks Terah to do will leave you wondering what you would do in that situation. Belessunu, Abraham's mother, has an amazing faith in spite of some hair-raising circumstances.
This is part of a series, there is a small amount of catch-up in the modern story, but everything else stands alone. Abraham's story is amazing, and will make that part of the Bible come alive. I recommend this five-star book to fans of Biblical history, and captivating stories!
Worthy Publishing provided Tickmenot with a book copy to review. Opinions are my own.

Mikaela5 Stars Out Of 5Great Book!August 14, 2022MikaelaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Dead Sea Conspiracy: A Novel, #2.Jerry B. Jenkins has long been a favorite author of mine, so, of course, I was thrilled to get the opportunity to review his newest release Dead Sea Conspiracy. Although reading the first book in the series is not vital, I would recommend it! I read Dead Sea Rising in early 2019 and I think a quick re-read would have been beneficial to remind me of some of the backstory.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book. The dual story timeline adds an element of interest and intrigue. The Biblical and modern timelines tie together well in the end, offering unique perspectives and some unexpected twists! I definitely recommend this book!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. -

It's not hard to imagine the real contemporary counterparts of his characters risking international frowns and dangerous digs to ferret out evidence of ancient history. It's a page-turner fiction that probably will force you to push your bedtime later, just to see what happens next. Though fictionalized, its alternate sections depicting the birth family of the Bible's Abraham helped me re-imagine this key Bible character 's heritage and the tenuous history back to Babylonia, when day-to-day life was primitive, dangerous, and shadowed by an insane dictator. Definitely entertaining for those who want wholesome "who-done-it" reading. This book was received as a review copy.
