Revere GodAndHisWord5 Stars Out Of 5Wonderful, Concise, Accurate ResourceJune 15, 2014Revere GodAndHisWordQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Based upon Livingstone's actual journal, this book provides a fair treatment of this godly man and his life, unlike many others of his modern biographies. I found it to be very readable and inspiring in my own Christian life - to trust God more and to be ever so thankful for these great saints who have gone before us, "blazing a trail," so to speak, which was a physical trail as well, in the case of Livingstone trekking through Africa, with hardships reminiscent of the Apostle Paul. If it hadn't been for this man's courage and trust in Christ, he never would have had the fortitude to make it through all the dangers and trials in seeing Africa opened for Christ. Praise be to God!
Nancy L1 Stars Out Of 5June 9, 2006Nancy LI am sure that David Livingstone was a very interesting man, but this book does not reflect that. I was disappointed to see that someone who was a missionary and explorer in Africa could have his tale told in such a dry format.
