    Lovely Book With Great Encouragement

This is a beautiful book - perfect as a gift for yourself or someone else. It's got a lovely cover and the inside pages are gorgeous as well. There's a ribbon bookmark, too, which makes this book extra special. There are illustrations inside with full page quotes scattered throughout. The best part for someone who loves to write notes, there's pages for notes.

There are chapters that cover topics like Worry, Expectations, On Feeling Small, and more. Topics that women struggle with at times in their life. I especially love how easy this book is to read - like you're sitting down with a friend over coffee to discuss things. It's a book not only for young women but women of all ages, which I love.

The author shares personal stories that make you feel like you know her and, that in many ways, she's just like you! This is a lovely little book that I just love. I think any woman would enjoy this book and gain a lot of insight. I give it 5 stars.

This book was provided to me by Audra Jennings PR and Abingdon Press. I received a copy of this book to review but I was not financially compensated in any way. The opinions expressed are my own and are based on my observations while reading this book.

This is a beautifully well written book. Inside and Out. I love the cover

design on it. Inside all the wisdom and joy is what I needed. I had

wanted to read this book because I thought it would be good to read

and discuss with my 17 year old old daughter, but God knew what I

needed. It felt like it was written from God to me. This book offers great

wisdom, mentoring and joy from a Godly perspective. Some of the

topics covered are: Worry and caring for your soul (which we forget to

do so many times these days!!!) We need more books like this to share

with our daughters, grand daughters, etc.

I received a copy of this book through the Read with Audra blogging

program. All thoughts are my own.

Spiritual mama Susie Davis invites you to sit down for a visit over these pages and a cup of tea. Over the course of ten chapters, Susie covers ten topics relating to issues that women face today. Things like transitions, expectations, and living wholeheartedly. Susie shares examples from her own life and offers gentle wisdom that she hopes blesses you.

So many women today are not able to have a close relationship with their own mother for one reason or another, and few would say they have a spiritual mentor. Susie wishes to take you under her wing and share with those longing to hear what a Godly maternal heartbeat sounds like.

My favorite part of the book was in Chapter 2, when Susie talked about practicing the presence of God, and how when we do that our hearts can offer sanctuary and refreshment to all who come in contact with us. Whether that's to our family in our own home or strangers we come across in the grocery store, the peace that comes from our relationship with God has the opportunity to spill over and bless them. I'd certainly like to think my life was offering the kind of solace that draws people to the Prince of Peace Himself!

I received my copy of this book from Read With Audra. All opinions in this review are my own.

Dear Daughters: Love Letters to the Next Generation by Susie Davis is a sweet book that gives young women wisdom and mentorship from a godly perspective. Susie reaches the hearts of these young women by covering topics such as worry, life's purpose, expectation and caring for your soul. Each chapter is designed to delve into the topic with a friendly opening story and carries along like a conversation. She slowly urges her readers to ponder and answer questions that bring hope and comfort. She also provides a small space for writing thoughts and gleanings from the chapter. Her honesty and transparency are wrapped up in this book that will encourage young readers to lean into God.

I really enjoyed this heart warming book as I think back on my life as a young girl. I have really enjoyed the benefits of mentoring in the past few years and I really encourage every young woman today to pick up Susie's book and let the love and and connection be wrapped in their soul. This book reads like a devotional with stories and questions always leading back to the Lord. It's a perfect gift!

I enjoyed reading "Dear Daughters". It was an easy read that reminded me of advice that my sweet Nana would have given me, if she were still on this side of Heaven. The book contained ten chapters, that were generally about 15 pages long, and each started with a meaningful quote. Then, the author would speak about a topic such as worry, purpose, body image, relationship with God, soul care, transitions, expectations, and feeling less than.

As a self-proclaimed worry wart, the chapter on worry was especially meaningful to me. "If you are bound up in anxiety, you'll miss the daily wonder. How God has filled the world to the brim with curious beauty. How he whispers to the sun and it rises. Let him whisper to you too." I would recommend this book to women who are looking to hear the voice of a mentor, to guide them on in this crazy journey of life.
