I bought this book after hearing a lot about it from Boundless podcasts, and this book hits the nail on the head when it came to my misconceptions about relationships. I would highly recommend this book to any young teen (especially a young adult) if you're single and want to have a revamped and biblical view of dating.
For me, this has been the most (& first!) refreshing, practical and challenging book on adulthood, singleness and dating from a Christian perspective. Lisa Anderson speaks to an audience of both guys & gals, and being single herself, offers a perspective that has been needed for so long. If you feel skeptical, I get it - so was I! This isn't perfect, but I promise it's not going to tell you to kiss dating goodbye while God writes your love story as you ask yourself - is this the one? (If you caught all 3 references - high five!) You don't need a theology degree to absorb this goodness. It's easy to read and I promise, won't make you want to poke your eyes out. There's no fluff - which is both a breath of fresh air and challenging.
'The Dating Manifesto' addresses the issues of singleness and dating in a way that honors God and others. I am recommending it to everyone: singles, non-singles, parents of young adults, and church leaders. This book is fantastic, full of wisdom, and it presents the information in a way that often made me laugh out loud and at other times caused me to choke up. I love the advice Lisa gives, and the heart she exposes in sharing her God-given story. This book is practical, thoughtful, challenging, hopeful, and fun to read! Please check it out!!
