Tell us a little about yourself. Over my career, I have worn two hats: 1) As a law professor, specializing in Criminal Law, Constitutional Criminal Procedure, Trial Practice, and Law and Morality. 2) As a writer of Christian books. (I am the compiler and narrator of The Daily Bible, the NIV arranged in chronological order, and the author of more than 30 books, from devotionals, to doctrinal books, to books addressing a variety of hot-button social issues.)
What was your motivation behind this project? It was my desire to bring a fresh, powerful argument to the evolution/creation controversy, based solely on a fatal flaw in the science of evolution without resort to religious assumptions. Along the way, I sensed the importance of addressing not only traditional evolutionists but also a growing number of "evolutionary creationists" who attempt to reconcile a fatally-flawed scientific theory with Scripture.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? My hope is that this book might begin a conversation among scientists, theologians, and ordinary readers that will lead to a long-overdue rejection of the romanticized, politicized, popularized Evolution Story, which moves from clearly provable fact to sheer fiction.
