What a roller coaster ride: so many twists and turns and hills and valleys. Up one minute and down the next. That could describe at least four characters in the book. One woman was kidnapped, and kept trying to figure out how to escape while hindered by a severely broken leg. Another has someone who entered her life to provide childcare for her daughter now claiming to be her long-lost sister, a sister she figured had died years ago, after she was kidnapped at five years of age. A certain doctor is trying to gain the trust of his daughter who still loves the man she knew as Daddy since earliest childhood. The same doctor learns that another doctor in his former practice back in Minnesota has been arrested for murder, casting shadows on the practice and everyone who ever worked with her. I am only scratching the surface here, trying not to give away too much. I think my favorite character is the young daughter of Annie, the heroine of the story. Kylie loves people, and they love her in return. That can be good or bad, depending on many circumstances. Grab the book and hang on for the ride. The suspense and action will keep you turning pages late at night.

This book was a great read! I ordered it and then realized I had already read it. I went ahead and read it again and enjoyed it just as much the second time as I did the first! Colleen really knows how to keep her readers hooked on her books! Always have a hard time putting her books down.
