This movie should be seen by all adults and teens. For Christians adults especially, so we can help not only ourselves but are teen make wise decisions/choices that will impact their lives an others. It only takes one.
This movie is definitely, in my opinion, not for younger teens. It is an excellent movie to make teens (and adults) think about, good or bad actions in their lives. We don't always notice or realize when someone is at risk of suicide.
Many don't think of the consequences of sex before marriage either. Not only is it sin against God, even one mistake can change your life forever.
I feel this is great for youth groups or to watch with your own teens at home, to help them evaluate their actions and be active with their faith.
This movie is great for teenagers and young adults. It shows real life things that teens go through, poor choices they can make and consequences they will suffer. But choosing to seek and follow Christ will forever change your life, and He will help you get through whatever you are going through and work all things out for your good.
I had been looking forward to seeing this movie ever since it came out. My nephew had committed suicide a few years back so I desperately wanted this movie to share with others and also to donate to our church's library. However, unfortunately I can't donate this to our church library in good conscience.Even though,I loved how the movie was so real and promoting the idea christians should love and accept everyone,I was totally shocked and dismayed near the end of the movie that the main character Jake says to his girlfriend who is pregnant with his child that he would support her no matter what she decided (meaning whether she had an abortion or not).I understand he was a new christian but since Jake was the main character in this movie and this movie was made to influence teenagers for the good, I can not accept that statement suggesting abortion as being okay.It is so very sad... this could have been a really extraordinary movie if they just would have put more thought into it.Believe me, I am not normally a critical person, I try to support as many christian movies as possible and I can even ignore some of the language in this movie but I got to be honest here as people should know about this very crucial point about the abortion issue.
