Grace is always good news. But it's not cheaptrue grace compels us to change. Thats where holiness comes in.
Beloved writer, speaker, and bestselling coauthor of Wild and Free Jess Connolly will be the first to admit that not long ago, like many women, she grasped grace but she had forgotten holiness. Dance, Stand, Run charts her discovery that holiness was never meant to be a shaming reminder of what we "should" be doing, but rather a profound privilege of becoming more like Christ. Thats when we start to change the world, rather than being changed by it.
Dance, Stand, Run is an invitation to the daughters of God to step into the movements of abundant life: dancing in grace, standing firm in holiness, and running on mission. Through story and study, Jess casts a fresh vision for how to live into your identity as a holy daughter of God, how to break free of cheap grace and empty rule-keeping, and finally, how to live out your holy influence with confidence before a watching world. Spoiler alert: its a beautiful thing.
For anyone longing to take their place in what God is doing in the world, Dance, Stand, Run will rally your strength, refresh your purpose, and energize your faith in a God who calls us to be like Him.
Jess Connolly is a gal who wants to leave her world more in awe of God than she found it. Jordan5 Stars Out Of 5Dance in Grace. Stand your Holy Ground. Run on Mission. LET'S GO!October 24, 2017JordanQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0DSR is not a fluffy, feel-good read. It is a book our hearts are needing, longing for. I'd never really talked about holiness and what it really meant until diving into this book-- and honestly, didn't really feel the abundance of grace either. This book teaches us that we don't get to choose one or the other, but we get to live in both grace and holiness at once. Talk about a revelation! It really opened my eyes to what holiness is and isn't, and what we as women of God GET to do as we dance in abundant grace, stand our holy ground, and run on the mission God has set before us.
Jess uses her real-life wrestling with these topics and her passion for scripture studying to help us understand grace, holiness, and mission in a whole new light.
I hope this book helps us understand holiness not as something far-reaching and scary, but as something we get to live in RIGHT NOW because of the grace of Jesus. Living life striving for grace and not living in the holiness God has called us to leaves us feeling like something's missing, that there has to be MORE to this life than this. DSR illustrates the missing piece of the puzzle. Life living in grace AND holiness is so much better-- it fills the emptiness the striving and searching never can fill.
This book has the power to change the world. You in?
