Author Bio

Mary Wilder Tileston (1843–1934) was the daughter of Caleb and Mary Wilder Foote. Mary and her brothers, the Rev. Henry Wilder Foote (1838–1889) and musician/composer Arthur Foote (1853–1937), compiled and edited Hymns of the Church Universal. On her own, Mary edited and compiled a number of books of devotions, hymns, and spiritual writings, as well as letters and reminiscences of her parents and other family members.
