It keeps her thinking, and then she reminds her to apply these lessons in her other English assignments.

Daily Grams are strictly short exercises in practicing what you already know, so if you're looking for more intensive lessons, then I recommend Easy Grammar Ultimate Series: 180 Daily Teaching Lessons. With the latter, I've found that it is more economical to order the teacher edition as it is simply the student book with the answer key contained in a few pages in the back. You can snip those out for the teacher and give the book to the student. My daughter usually did a couple of lessons per day as they're short, but they are quite thorough. The book is also reproducible. Again, it's well liked by this teacher and her student!

He usually does more than one lesson each day because he can quickly work through them. It's a great tool for brushing up on the rules in grammar that he's already learned. And I love the ease of it all when used in conjunction with his other subjects.
Michelle5 Stars Out Of 5July 14, 2009MichelleObviously, some of the other reviewers didn't understand the purpose in this book. This was NOT intended to be your child's primary grammar curriculum. It was intended to provide daily practice drills for one's student. This is excellent as a summer course to help your student not forget some of the skills they use during the school year. I also think it works very well for many homeschool students who didn't start a serious study of grammar till the older ages (and judging from the co-op class I helped teach, many homeschoolers fall into this category). This provides very short practice sessions to help drill into their long-term memory basic concepts.
Danese Rice4 Stars Out Of 5September 7, 2008Danese RiceYes, this workbook is a bit on the easy side BUT it is meant as a supplement not as the main language arts study for your student. My son enjoyed doing these exercises each day because the other work he was doing was very challenging. On my end, I liked that is was a refresher for him. As a supplement I am purchasing this for my second son as well.
