Culinary Life Skills Lab Manual

Nutrition, grocery budgeting, entertaining and hospitality etiquette, and of course cooking are all part of Abeka’s Culinary Life Skills one-semester elective. With a practical mixture of learning and application of skills, this course helps to prepare high schoolers for adulthood and running their own household. The Culinary Life Skills Lab Manual is a required companion to the sold separately Culinary Life Skills student text, as it reinforces lesson content and provides opportunities for students to apply lessons in the kitchen.  Each of the 13 labs includes helpful procedures for students to become familiar with kitchen equipment; practice measuring skills; read recipes accurately; and efficiently organize a kitchen and pantry.
