This Bible has lots of pictures and sidebar articles that contribute a richness and depth to my reading and study.

Wow, what a great resource! The pictures are gorgeous and the articles are very insightful. It's nice to have everything in one volume.

Great book with great details and pictures.

When our Sunday School study group found out that the 'Biblical Illustrator' Magazine would no longer be available, we decided to invest in this CSB Holy Land Illustrated Bible. I was apprehensive as I did not think that a Bible could deliver the same kind of information as the magazine, but have to say that I absolutely LOVE this bible and it is already my favorite! We have already used some of the illustrations and articles in our study group, they just make the scripture come alive!

Being able to dig into the given information and discoveries when I get tired of reading the scripture itself makes it more interesting for me to read it like a good storybook with illustrations. Up until now I have been studying in my NIV study bible and I didn't think that I would like the CSB version, but the CSB seems to flow just nicely and is easily understandable. I like the footnotes that will give alternate translations where applicable.

The photos of archaeological items are nice and engaging, sometimes I wish that the description in the photos would give a little more detail, but overall I have a new-found desire to open my bible and read and study.

I did order the leather-look soft-cover version (with the index and two ribbons) as it was on sale for 'slight imperfections', and I just 'pray' that it will hold up to the heavy use it will experience over the next years! Else than that I can only agree with the other reviews ('Beautiful Study Bible' , 'An Exciting New Bible') - you will not be disappointed by this bible!

Additionally, the 9.5 font type is easy on the eyes, there are two built-in ribbon book marks, and despite being a substantial volume, it is not difficult to carry. This hard-packed book is filled with good quality paper, unlike the typically thin Bible pages. Full of colorful pictures, maps and extra items little known before about scripture--make you feel like you have traveled to the Holy Land without leaving your armchair.
