Tell us a little about yourself. Hi. I am a grand and great grandmother now. We are blessed with 15 children and 15 great grandchildren. I love each one of them dearly. My husband John and myself are retired and in relatively good health.Although my breast cancer surgery was an extremely difficult journey for me.
What was your motivation behind this project? I started writing the book with the intent to show my own children the strong Christian faith life of my parents, how it carried them through the most difficult crisis situations in their lives, and how their faith always did guide them in the most difficult decisions they faced throughout their lives.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? That every one reading this book will get a sense of how true Christian faith carried our parents through the most difficult trials and temptations in their search to create a better future for their family in a new country called Canada.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I gained a much deeper respect for the faith life, their courage and everlasting optimisms both parents portrayed in all they did for their family and many other friends they met in their life's journey.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My husband, and most of all both of my parents, were the biggest influence in seeing this book come to life. I think so often of the three bombings we went through, and the awful hunger we did experience. Such happenings do influence ones life and the outlook on life as a whole.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I so hope and pray that this book will open the eyes of readers as to the tremendous blessed life style we are able to live in a FREE country. Yes, I know it touched my family members deeply. I hope it will do that for other readers as well.
