StacyAge: Under 18Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Nail biting fiction!February 9, 2021StacyAge: Under 18Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This second book in the Tox Files series kept me biting my nails, chapter after chapter.
Ronie Kendig writes fiction that seems to leap off the pages with realism.
Thrilled there is another novel in the series, I'm going to try to prolong reading it. Its like that favorite coffee you save for special occasions, you don't want it to end. -
Rebecca ManeyGastonia, North CarolinaAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Gritty, Intense, and Exceptional!January 11, 2018Rebecca ManeyGastonia, North CarolinaAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5"It took one ten thousandth of a second . . . . . .for the bullet to rip through his shoulder."
Cole "Tox" Russell and his team of Special Forces soldiers are suddenly drawn towards the front lines of a battle they never expected to fight, when a former teammate turns rogue. Alec King is deliriously fighting a battle of his own; a deliberate, barbaric war of revenge against high level officers who allowed his men to be killed during a high-level military maneuver.
When it becomes apparent that an ancient crown lies at the epicenter of Alec's madness, Cole's Wraith team members immerse themselves in the nuances of ancient history, only to discover more questions than answers. Will Tox be forced to splay open his very heart, sacrifice classified secrets on the altar of justice, risk the love of the one whom he cannot imagine living life without; his anchor in the storm.
Predictably, Ronie Kendig has penned an unimaginable story with the sort of grace, truth, and intensity that has solidified her exceptional reputation.

CozyWriter'sDen5 Stars Out Of 5I wish I could give it more starsJanuary 8, 2018CozyWriter'sDenQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5What a way to kick off 2018! I started the new year reading the sequel to one of my top picks from 2017. I know it's very early on in the 2018 book season, but I may have already read my favourite book of the year: Crown of Souls by Ronie Kendig.
Welcome to another adventure with the ultra-awesome, hard core, kick-butt amazing Tox Russel. Tox and his team of highly specialized operatives are faced with a mission that strikes close to home when one of Tox's old war-time friends becomes mixed up with a dangerous artifact. This artifact, a deadly crown, takes over Alec's mind. Crazed and aided by the supernatural powers of the mysterious crown, Alec becomes rapidly more wicked as he strikes with disturbing precision. Convinced that he's acting in the name of justice, Alec puts out an offer for Tox to join him. Tormented, Tox is faced with a struggle that is not only physical, but internal as well.
Enter Haven: deception expert and plucky girlfriend. She realizes quickly that Tox is identifying with Alec more than he should. As they madly chase Alec around the globe, Haven is hard pressed to keep Tox's head together. Things get trick when Alec sets his sights on her and Tox opens up to her about his past.
This book is filled with big-screen worthy fight scenes, unforgettable characters, and mind bending supernatural elements. These books need to become a movie. The plot is one big twist and I could NOT put this book down. It dug it's hooks into me with the first page, and now that it's over (with a major cliff hanger at the end!) I am dying to read the next one. Write quick, Ronie Kendig! And please.... a twenty or thirty part series would be amazing. :)
I would highly, highly recommend both books in this series. In fact, I insist. You must read it.
Thank-you Graf Martin Communications and Baker Publishing House for a complimentary copy. -
jacquiRIllinoisAge: Over 65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Crown of SoulsDecember 19, 2017jacquiRIllinoisAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Crown of Souls, book two in The Tox Files Series, by Ronie Kendig is another creative plot that does not disappoint. The author blends the past (1170 A.D. Syria) with the present to spin a plausible story that connects Cole Tox Russell, Special Forces, with an ancestor, Girade Roussel. Cole fights to reel in a rogue Special Forces operator who has been plaguing Cole and his team and is using the power of a mysterious ancient artifact for his own purposes. Alec King, the rogue, was a trusted team member and friend, and Cole insists upon saving him, if he can. Cole and the team must fight against a powerful force and a friend who has become a monster. Fast-paced action and a riveting plot are the trademark of Ronie Kendig. I highly recommend this book that was gifted to me but was not required to post a favorable review.
