Tell us a little about yourself. After returning from the Vietnam War (1966-1967), and waging another war with himself, due to the traumas resulting from the experiences suffered on the battlefield, Samuel Padilla Rosa obtained an associate degree in Social Studies, from the Puerto Rico Junior College. He also acquires a bachelor's degree in economics, with classes in psychology and comparative literature, from the University of Puerto Rico. Before dedicating himself to the ministry of the church and obtaining a master's degree in theological studies, he worked as an economist for the Government of Puerto Rico and as a teacher in the Public Instruction System. In 2005 he moved to New York City. While he was serving as co-pastor at Elim House of Worship in Lower Manhattan, along with Senior Pastor Carlos Torres Oyola, he co-founded a youth rehabilitation center in Newark, New Jersey. After returning to Puerto Rico, he obtains a Ph.D. in the incipient branch of neuroscience â Christian Neuro Theology â he is the author of more than a dozen books. Currently, Dr. Samuel Padilla Rosa is committed to teaching and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to a world of technology where science multiplies by leaps and bounds.
What was your motivation behind this project? My motivation behind this project was that with my doctoral thesis topics I could preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people, believers and not believers. Science is not at odds with religion, in this case, the Christian religion is not at odds with Quantum Physics.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? With this project, people will realize that the teachings of Christianity, as a religion, are not at odds with science, in this case, Quantum Physics, whose objective is the study of matter in its smallest components, nanoparticles, or subatomic particles that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Quantum Physics makes visible the invisible of God's majestic creation. By faith, we understand that the universe was constituted by the word of God so that what is seen was not made out of what was seen (Hebrews 11:3).
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? While searching for my doctoral thesis topic on Christian Neurotheology I looked into the deep well of Quantum Physics and was dazzled by what I saw. I was amazed at what I saw reflected on its surface. I saw a whole different world of light and color. A world built based on nanoparticles, subatomic particles that cannot be seen with the naked eye. They exist as long as they are observed and studied. When I studied some of the Quantum Physics Laws immediately the Spirit showed me the striking analogies between those Quantum Physics Laws and our Christian teachings. So, this is the main objective of this book.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My source of inspiration is Einstein's dual (wave-particle) nature of natural light and its analogy with God the true Light of this world. Natural light can travel through free space as it is an electromagnetic wave that doesn't need a medium to travel through, Light waves are considered electromagnetic waves because light waves can propagate through a vacuum but you cannot see them. God the Light of this world is Spirit, like the natural wave you cannot see it either. The Bible says that God is Spirit and nobody has seen Him. Both, light waves and God's Spirit move through space, but you cannot see them. Natural light is composed of particles called photons.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: You cannot see God because God is Spirit, and like lights wave, you cannot see Him. But as natural light is composed of particles, (photons), you can see them. Analogous, John 1:1 says: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (Spirit, you cannot see Him). But, "The Word (Spirit, you cannot see Him) became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, The Prophet Ezerkiel saw God's Glory and it was like a rainbow in a rainy day (1:28).
