BDill2 Stars Out Of 5Some nuggets of useful information - but you gotta dig deepMay 29, 2017BDillQuality: 2Value: 3Meets Expectations: 2Overall, I was pretty disappointed with this book. The supposed "insights" into being an influential grandparent were shallow and elementary. The writing itself is poor, as there are grammar errors everywhere. The points being made are repetitive, and often just circle back to the basic idea that a grandparent needs to be available to their grandchildren. But, the most obnoxious part of the book is the fact that about half of it is just one story after another of the authors patting themselves on the back for how good they are at being grandparents. And, many times, the stories are so bland, it's hard not to laugh at the fact they actually included it as an example. Can't say I'm surprised that another reviewer heard the book being promoted by the author. Lots of self-promotion available for you to read here. If this is one of the best books out there on grandparenting - the next generation is in even more trouble than I thought.
