Endorsements

Gonzalez and Richards do an excellent job of explaining the major issues at stake. This book is a valuable resource for anyone who wants to understand what's really going on, especially Christians who are told that 'science' conflicts with their faith.
-Jonathan Wells
Center for Science and Culture, Seattle, WA

A useful survey of the various terms and concepts invoked in this very controversial topic. Those who are just starting to look into these issues would do well to read this essay at the outset. -David Snokes,
University of Pittsburgh

Editorial Reviews

There is often more heat than light in the controversies over creation, evolution, and intelligent design, and much of the heat arises from widespread and sometime deliberate confusion over the various meanings of these terms. Guillermo Gonzalez and Jay Richards do an excellent job of shining light on those meanings and explaining the major issues at stake in the debates. This book is a valuable resource for anyone who wants to understand what’s really going on, especially Christians who are told that “science” conflicts with their faith.
"This is a useful survey of the various terms and concepts invoked in this very controversial topic. The major issues of biological and cosmological fine tuning arguments (a.k.a. "intelligent design" arguments) are reviewed, as well as the various different views of creation and evolution of Christians. Those who are just starting to look into these issues would do well to read this essay at the outset."
