In Creation and Change, Douglas F. Kelly argues from a theological point of view for a literal interpretation of the six-day account of creation found in Genesis chapters 1 and 2. He assesses both the biblical details and the scientific data to show that there is a convincing and scientifically viable case for this understanding. This new edition, written twenty years after the original, contains important revisions and additional chapters, bringing this insightful and relevant volume up-to-date with developments in this field. It is written with both the general public and student (High School, University, Seminary, or Bible Study group) in mind, not only containing study questions that can be used but also additional resources for further exploration.

In this book, Professor Douglas Kelly persuasively argues for a literal interpretation of the six-day account of creation found in Genesis chapters 1 and 2. He assesses both the biblical details and the scientific data to show that there is a convincing and scientifically viable case for this understanding. This new edition, written twenty years after the original, contains important revisions and additional chapters, bringing this insightful and relevant volume up-to-date with developments in this field.
Douglas Kelly is a theologian who also displays a deep understanding of science and philosophy. The result is this thoughtful, thorough and well researched book that will be valuable to anyone wishing to dig deeper.
... It is the best work that I have read on this subject. With regard to this exegesis of the biblical text I hope that Douglas Kelly's courageous voice will be listened to.
... Creation and Change, demonstrates that credible science supports the Word of God...For those concerned about the issues involved this book is well worth spending time studying.
This book is very accessible for the lay reader as well as being a very thoroughly argued and persuasive text for the student beginning theological studies in Genesis and wanting to know what the key Biblical arguments are for a young earth creation position. I cannot recommend this book more highly.
CaseyCovenant5 Stars Out Of 5Should be required reading for all Bible students, pastors, and scholars!October 12, 2017CaseyCovenantQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book gives exegetical, scientific, and historical arguments and reasons for a plain reading of the first two chapters of Genesis. It destroys evolutionary thinking. Christians must debunk and reject evolution in all it's forms. God is the sovereign creator and designer. We also must reject millions and billions of years of time in evolution because that's also wrong and this book explains why! Get a copy and give it to your pastor and seminary teacher also!
Donnie Crews5 Stars Out Of 5September 22, 2008Donnie CrewsThis book is is very well organized and well written. Douglas Kelly does a excellent job of simply explaining this very technical subject matter to those of us who are not scientist. It has been a very useful resource that I have looked to in order to give biblical and reasonable answers to those who oppose that God created the heavens and the Earth and all that is within in six literal days just as God has said in Exodus 20:8. This author has done the research for you and has cited all his sources for you; also, if you need resources that are exegetical and biblically sound, then this small paperback book has a good bibliography to use as a reference to other more thorough books related to this subject matter.
