Through DVD teaching lessons and workbooks, Breathe takes you through the echoes of biblical stories throughout Scripture, exploring the character of God and what it means to us today.
Creation began with a breath. And God is still breathing into us today, still creating and making us new.
The first 8-week study in the Breathe series is called Created, and deals with the very rst echo in Scripture: the echo of creation. It takes far more than the rst couple chapters in Genesis to contain the story of God's creative activity in the world. They are only a foretaste to an elaborate story of our creator God, a story that is alive still today and calls us to surrender to God's desire to make all things new.

Session 1: Create - In this session, Shawna paints a picture of an intimate Creator with endless plans for the future. You will study Genesis 1 and explore how God brings light to darkness and order to chaos.
Session 2: Image - Shawna shares God's intentions behind creating humans in God's image, breathing the breath of life into them. As you read Genesis 1 and 2, you will see how male and female together fully reflect God's image in the world.
Session 3: Promise - As you hear about the well-known story of Noah, you will see just how destructive sin is. You will also see how God preserves life and breathes new life into creation after the flood.
Session 4: Clean - Shawna delves into Psalm 51, a raw cry from King David after he is caught in the sins of lying, adultery, and murder. Listen to Shawna as she breaks apart this psalm verse by verse and reveals what God does when we come before God with the crumbled mess of our sin.
Session 5: Revive - Shawna uses Ezekiel 36 and 37 to remind us of the Creator God who breathes new life into chaos and desolation, and gives us a new heart and a new spirit. Explore this study to see just what God can do with dry bones in the desert.
Session 6: Word - In this session, Shawna takes us to the New Testament - John 1. In this study you will see how God's redemption plan that started back in the Garden of Eden climaxes in Jesus who makes the unseen God seen. Jesus brings light in the darkness.
Session 7: Receive - In this final session, Shawna takes us to John 20 to explore the Resurrection story. In the resurrection of Jesus, God ushers in a new creation that destroys destruction and death. Join God as he calls you to be fully alive with the breath of God's Spirit.
