Dianne Christner lives in New River, Arizona, where life sizzles in the summer when temperatures soar above 100 degrees as she writes from her air-conditioned home office. She enjoys the desert life, where her home is nestled in the mountains and she can watch quail and the occasional deer, bobcat, or roadrunner.
Dianne was raised Mennonite and works hard to bring authenticity to Mennonite fiction. She now worships at a community church. Shes written over a dozen novels, most of which are historical fiction. She gets caught up in research having to set her alarm to remember to switch the laundry or start dinner. But her husband of forty-plus years is a good sport. They have two married children, Mike and Rachel, and five grandchildren, Makaila, Elijah, Vanson, Ethan, and Chloe.

Rhonda Nash-hallMadison Heights VAAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Amusing, touching romanceApril 23, 2016Rhonda Nash-hallMadison Heights VAAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 5This is such a fun story.....so many of the characters are so lovable and amusing! I love reading of the antics of the elderly and Carly Blosser works in a conservative Mennonite assisted living facility called Sweet Life Assisted Living Facility. They have nicknames for the residents and repeater, nines, klepto, and the other residents endeared themselves to me and I just fell in love with them, much as Carly loves them. She gets the idea to help dear Martha to find an old beau that she met at one of the local covered bridges and Adam Lapp agrees to help her. Adam and Carly have a definite spark between them as well. Will they discover more than old romance while helping Martha locate James? They have an obstacle though. Adam's dad does not like Carly and does not want them together in a romantic sense. Will they listen to their hearts or obey his father?
Readers are sure to enjoy the funny and sometimes sad events that take place at Sweet Life Assisted Living Facility. There are quite a few furry and feathered friends in the story to peak the interest of animal lovers too.
I rated this book 5 stars and highly recommend it to readers of Mennonite fiction and Christian fiction.
I received a copy of this book from netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
pam5 Stars Out Of 5Covered Bridge CharmApril 10, 2016pamQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Covered Bridge Charm is a wonderful book written by Dianne Christner. She had me laughing alot in this book! The characters are so well described I felt I knew personally. The residents at Sweet Life Assisted Living Facility have each been given a nickname that suits their individual personalities and helps to add Charm to the story. The main characters Carly and Adam keep getting thrown together because of situations created by Carly.
When Adam decides that his feelings for Carly are growing stronger he sets out to win her heart. Carly doesn't make it easy for him because of a past relationship with his cousin. Adam's family isn't in favor of it either what will Adam do??
When Carly comes up with a plan for a volunteer program at the Assisted living facility she has road blocks to overcome! With Carly's quirky personality will she convince the residence in her small town to cooperate?
See how all this turns out as you read Covered Bridge Charm. I'm hoping there will be more books to follow.
I did not receive a complimentary copy of this book but I submit my honest review for a well written story. I also rated this book with 5 stars! Also the quality, value, and expectations were rated a 5.
Malinda4 Stars Out Of 5Great Book!April 5, 2016MalindaQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Covered Bridge Charm was a sweet Mennonite story. The main character Carly is a 27 year old Mennonite woman who works in a assisted living facility for the elderly. I easily became involved in the lives of Carly and the elderly residents. Sparks fly when Adam comes to work at the facility and teams up with Carly to hekp an elderly resident. i I loved the chemistry between Carly and Adam.
eim055 Stars Out Of 5Enjoyable!March 31, 2016eim05Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I thoroughly enjoyed Dianne Christner's book, "Covered Bridge Charm". Even though Carly Blosser is Mennonite, she could have been any young, Christian woman trying to be independent while still following her beliefs. There was real-life struggles that were totally believable as well as the real-life situations connected with aging. I look forward to reading more from Dianne Christner.
ASC Book ReviewsNMAge: 18-24Gender: female2 Stars Out Of 5This book's not for me.March 31, 2016ASC Book ReviewsNMAge: 18-24Gender: femaleQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0I had a really hard time getting into this one from the beginning, and then there are just a few things that are a little too fast for me. I guess that is the best way to describe it, while other things were a bit too slow in coming. The character's relationship is neither here nor there, and I just couldn't get to where I was enjoying it. There are interesting aspects, from Carly's choice of pet and her Aunt's excellent advice. But even with that I didn't finish the book. My recommendation would be to read the "look inside" preview on amazon and see if it grabs your interest! :)
