An aspiring author and his family, who crashes their boat during a storm, become stranded on a small rocky island in the middle of a treacherous river. After the father is injured, the mother and stepdaughter must set aside their troubled relationship if they are to survive. Starring Jason Priestley and Andrea Roth. Dove approved. Approx. 90 minutes.
I like the story. The storm scene was a little over the top though. I'm not sure why Robert wouldn't anchor the boat in a safe place, another character suggested he would, but that's what makes the story, I guess!
Overall, it was good. It's a movie I will re-watch!
I really wanted to like this movie, but...First of all in one scene they are in a boat in Puget Sound. It is a nice, sunny day. In the very next scene they are in the middle of the ocean in a fierce storm as if they are on the Deadliest Catch. (Sorry for the spoiler, but, trust me, it won't ruin it for you :)). We see a wolf running by, and later a grizzly bear threatens the entire shipwrecked crew on Bear Island in Puget Sound. I live in the Pacific Northwest, and I had a good laugh, but it just wasn't worth watching.
