Publisher's Description

Each morning when we wake up, we do not know what we will have to face before going to bed that night. My husband and I were making plans to move to Florida full time, but God had other plans. He took my husband home one afternoon. I had no warning and could make no preparation. I have written this book to let others in similar situations know that God is faithful to provide for us, comfort us, and sustain us in our life's journey.

Author/Artist Review

Tell us a little about yourself.  I am a mother and grandmother. I have always been involved in my local church. In the past I have served as church pianist, lead ladies' Bible studies and spoken at womens' meetings. My late husband and I also worked Disaster Relief projects after Hurricanes Floyd and Katrina. We were also very involved with renovations to our church after a disastrous fire in 2006.

What was your motivation behind this project?  My husband passed away suddenly in June 2010. I wanted to let others in my situation know that they are not alone in the suffering that comes after the loss of a loved one.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  In sharing my grief experience I hope people will understand they are not alone in feeling hopeless, sad, depressed and by themselves. The grief process is not easy and though it is different for each individual, there are some similarities. I also hope people will realize the need of salvation and the Lord's leading in their lives.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  Writing the book was part of the healing process for me. It helped me put my feelings and reactions in perspective and realize though I felt totally alone at times, God was always there protecting and guiding me. I am thankful for the many friends he placed in my life who have ministered to me in different ways during this most difficult time.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  My family and friends have been sources of inspiration for me as they faithfully prayed and ministered to me. God's word in Bible reading has been a comfort. I also used the hymnal, sometimes playing the songs and at other times just reading the words of comfort.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  I'd like readers to know I wrote this book to not only share the story of my grief but also to encourage them to seek God in salvation and to learn to trust in His promises.
