I think my gift will be liked.

I bought the whole Cooper Kids series for a family member for Christmas. I read some of them beforehand and was very pleased with what I found. The books were of excellent quality and had very engaging action. Also, the spiritual undertones were very refreshing; so many young teenagers' books skip all mention of God and put forth secular ideas that could be damaging to young people; but these made sure to include how powerful He is and how we don't need to fear anything with Him on our side. The family member was also pleased with this gift and read the first four in about two days! I'm sure he is looking forward to the next four of the series, which in my opinion, appear even more interesting than the first four. :) The only problem I had was with the slipcover. It was flimsy, and I would have thrown it away had it not been for the nice way it keeps all first four books together. It still might be thrown away after the last four books join their fellows in the bookcase. Also there were a few misprints, but they weren't that serious. Overall, I am glad I chose this series for a gift. The supernatural elements can be hair-raising sometimes, but are not near as serious as this day and age's horror movies, so if the fact that Frank E. Peretti (known for his supernatural thrillers) wrote these books deters you, worry no more. These were good books and their purchase is not regretted.

good read for advanced elementary, or jr high and high school. I enjoyed it as an adult.

I have an avid reader in the 3rd grade and was looking for good books for him that would be interesting and entertaining and with themes that would build his faith. These are a perfect fit. My son absolutely loves these books

My twelve year old son liked the series.
