Conflict Transformation: Churches in the Face of Structural Violence in Northern Nigeria

Both Christian missionaries and Indigenous Christians believe that their fundamental role is evangelism. However, the provision of education and health services is often done as an opening wedge for the gospel. The revenue accrued from these projects is seen as an advancement of the gospel. Rarely do the Christians perceive these development projects as a means of transforming structural violence.
