Larry1 Stars Out Of 5The Complete Jewish Bible, Bonded Leather BlackSeptember 22, 2016LarryQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1I was excited to find, what I thought, was a Leather edition of this version of the bible. So much so, I paid extra to have my name monogrammed on the front. Upon getting it, I was quite disappointed to find I had received a bible that not only was not a leather covered bible, but that the cover was so thin it even is curling with use. Had I known that was what I was purchasing, I'd have spent far less and just bought a paper backed version.
Debra5 Stars Out Of 5Complete Jewish BibleApril 26, 2016DebraQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I have searched for the best translation, closest to the old testament ,as Yeshua would have read. Closest to the Torah. Then adding the new testament, by that same translation. The lord spoke both Aramaic and Greek. This is an excellent translation, from the Aramaic. Our Lord Yeshua was a Jew. Yet most Christians forget this because our church's have taken the Jew ,from Jesus. This Bible will bring Him to you. I strongly recommend this to those seeking truth and their Messiah!

TP5 Stars Out Of 5THE COMPLETE JEWISH BIBLE - SOFTCOVERJanuary 9, 2016TPQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I like the way it makes the word of God simple and understandable. I like the style it is written in. It makes the word of God comes alive. The Complete Jewish Bible gives the reader "the light bursts experience" that leads to greater understanding. It is a greater enlightenment of the word of God. It is the best translation of the word of God that I have read.
Q: Does this Bible give the Hebrew equivalent in it's words? Like, is the Lord's Prayer for example in Hebrew or the English we are all familiar with?
This Bible is not printed in Hebrew text. It gives original Hebrew names for people, places, and concepts in English transliterations and corrects mistranslations in the New Testament resulting from anti-Jewish theological bias.
The Lord's Prayer reads, "Our Father in heaven! May your Name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us the food we need today. Forgive us what we have done wrong, as we too have forgiven those who have wronged us. And do not lead us into hard testing, but keep us safe from the Evil One. For kingship, power and glory are yours forever. Amen"
