Angel Sister and Small Town Girl preceded this one. Each one can be read as a stand alone but is best enjoyed when read in order as a series. This book follows the Merritt sisters after their husbands return from WWII. The changes they encounter in their spouses and trying to restore relationships with them. This author is on target when capturing true to life situations on paper. The stories just pull you in and don't let you go. There is love, family, faith, loss, and inspiration.
I received this book from the Book Club Network in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was a beautifully written tale of a family whose lives had changed forever because of the war. Ann, the author, knows how to weave multiple characters stories seamlessly into one novel. You feel the joy, sorrow, pain and heart wrenching struggles with each one. This isnt a sappy romance novel its a realistic story line, taking you on each characters journey through big changes and realizing they need God in every area. The end is a wonderful twist and wrap up of beautiful proportions. I highly recommend reading this for a gripping yet sweet tale!
