The first two were excellent in my opinion and I enjoyed them. But I
had trouble getting interested in this one in the beginning
and tho it got better as I continued to read it took longer than I like to get really involved in reading. Perhaps because
I like a book that grabs your interesting in the first 2 or 3
Tammy4 Stars Out Of 5September 18, 2008TammyThis was the first book by this author I read, and I couldn't put it down or turn the pages fast enough! It has a supernatural flavor to the story, but that did not deter me in the least in finishing this book! I would recommend it to anyone.
Z55 Stars Out Of 5July 7, 2007Z5Wow! I absolutely loved this book. It has a smart and real life story mixed with enough action and emotion to keep you reading. I am a big fan of Peretti and Dekker. Liparulo is in that same class - if not better. We got the book on a mis-order and after reading the forwards from companies and my favorite authors, it became a must read. I found it thought provoking while making me curious about truth vs fiction. Great characters and warm fuzzy between a dad and son relationship. The real life comes from the ordinary main characters dealing with this bizarre twist of events while still trying to deal with their own life challenges. The dialogue between characters is quick witted, intense, and human. It makes you relate and root for the good guys. This one entertains but makes you wonder if this isn't a non-fiction book. I recommend it! Can be a little scary but a fun, thrill read.
Robyn4 Stars Out Of 5July 26, 2006RobynThis was a VERY intense book! The plot was intricate and very well laid out. The adventure and suspense of the book kept you glued to it to see what could possibly happen next. On the other hand, this book was also VERY graphic in describing murder and numerous crime scenes. It is definitly not for the faint of heart. I gave it a lower rating for a couple of different reasons: #1 for the graphic violence that it portrays and #2 for it's lack of spiritual content (other than the references to Brady's walk with Christ before his wife died, there wasn't much else to distinguish this book as Christian fiction).
